This post is a way to increase the presence of ENERGIABLOGGER across the world specifically in Australia because while I was checking the statistics I could see that my blog receives visits in a growing number of this country.
Australian-Canadian Oil Royalties Ltd. principal assets consist of 15,440,116 gross surface acres of overriding royalty interest and 8,561,007 gross acres of working interests, located Onshore Australia in the Cooper/Eromanga Basin & Offshore Australia in the Gippsland Basin.
Stuart’s current land holdings ensure several years of high quality exploration and the next phase of growth is built on a strong and stable platform.
Significant activity is focused on:
* Port Bonython Fuels Pty Ltd(PBF), which agreed purchase terms of a 74 hectacre parcel of land from the South Australian Government in May 2009 for the development of Stage 1 of the PBF fuels storage, processing and supply facility. A "Crown Sponsored" Development Application has been lodged, with approval anticipated in September/October 2009.
* A 50 percentage equity interest in the offshore Timor Sea (Ashmore Cartier) permit AC/P33. The AC/P33 permit contains the Oliver oilfield with potential recoverable oil and condensate estimated at 16.3 million barrels (Stuart's share of Mean JV Volumes).
Offshore Marine Services core business and primary activity worldwide is the recruitment and supply of experienced personnel to the offshore drilling and marine industries.
The company also specialises in offshore support vessel crewing, manning and management. In addition the company owns and operates it own fleet of offshore supply and FPSO off-take vessels.
In a broad sense, operators drill two basic types of wells—exploratory (to find new oil or gas deposits) and development (to prepare the discovery for production). Water depths range from 20 to 400 feet for jack-up rigs to up to 10,000 feet for semisubmersibles and drillships.
In 1999 ownership of the Company changed and with it brought a new sense of planning and direction. The Company tendered for and won contracts to drill in the Fairview area in Queensland. A second Drilling Rig, (Rig #3) was purchased and went to work to complete an extensive drilling project in tandem with Rig #2 at Fairview in Queensland.
Hunt has also drilled Wells in the Eromanga Basin in Queensland, the Cooper Basin and Stansbury Basin in South Australia, the Gippsland Basin in Victoria and NSW.
Hunt Energy's commitment to the Oil & Gas Industry has seen the company grow over the past 10 years into a competitive and efficient drilling Contractor.
The Company has a presence in all significant mining and exploration regions, and has a global profile and resources to position it for extended future growth.
